Laura Linney's portrayal of vulnerable and yet powerful characters has earned her the title of one of the most popular American actors. After spending the summers in her father's company Laura Linney was captivated with the theatre. After that she attended Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. After just two short years after graduation she began her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut on film and television. Since then, she has appeared appearing in a variety of films, TV shows and stage performances. In her professional career, she has won many awards, including two Golden Globe Awards. But despite the many nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theatre remains constant, as she continues to perform both in the stage and on screen.
